Fire test – NF Me, NF P92-503, ISO 5660 - Expansion, flammability, smoke
The fire tests concern two products, namely:
Furnace with resistance according to ISO 5660 :
The strength of this furnace complies with the ISO 5660 standard.
The conical furnace, also known as the "Meringage" furnace, was developed in collaboration with the LNE (LABORATOIRE NATIONAL DE METROLOGIE ET D'ESSAIS). It is used to measure the expansion of PVC tubes and pipes under the effect of heat. This measurement is carried out in order to benefit from the Marking (Certification) "NF FIRE SAFETY".
The products covered by the certification rules are :
- PVC pipes for wastewater disposal applications inside buildings whose overall wall thicknesses are greater than or equal to those
defined by standards NF EN 1329-1 / NF EN 1453-1 (metric series); - PVC fittings for waste water disposal applications inside buildings whose overall wall thicknesses are greater than or equal to those
defined by standard NF EN 1329-1 (metric series); - PVC accessories for waste water disposal applications inside buildings not covered by the NF EN 1329-1 standard and whose
thickness is greater than or equal to those defined by the NF EN 1329-1 standard for sockets.
Electric burner with candle and BT power supply:
The Electric Burner was developed in collaboration with the LNE (NATIONAL LABORATORY OF METROLOGY AND TESTING).
It meets the criteria of the NF P92-503 standard. The electric burner test according to NF P 92-503 is the main reaction to fire test for the M classification of flexible construction and fitting materials of thickness less than or equal to 5 mm.
The burner can be integrated into a system/equipment (the polynorm 503 for example) where it plays a decisive role.
